Trim Levels

Three trim levels are available with the Sportage. They include the LX, EX, and SX Turbo. These trims come with the option of front-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive. 

Safety Features

Safety features you will find on the Sportage include dual front advanced air bags, dual front seat-mounted side air bags, and full-length side curtain air bags. There is also a rollover sensor and 3-point seat belt for all seats. 

Systems in place that help increase the safety of the vehicle include an anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability management system, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill start assist control, and downhill brake control. 

Interior Features

Inside the Kia Sportage, you will find state-of-the-art technology that provides drivers with entertainment and connectivity to everything you need, right at your fingertips. Features you will find include Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, which connect your iPhone and Android to the digital screen found in the console of your Sportage. You can access texts, maps, music, and phone calling all with ease. These features are standard on the EX and SX Turbo and can be upgraded on the LX trim. 

There is a range of touch-screen displays available, which include a 5-inch screen on the LX trim, a 7-inch screen on the EX trim, and an 8-inch screen on the SX Turbo. The Sportage has a UVO eServices system. This system allows you to track your driving habits, find where you are parked, and provide roadside assistance. The UVO system is available on the EX and SX turbo trims. 

Also available with the vehicle is a smart power liftgate, which gives you hands-free access to the cargo area. Inside, there are 63 cubic feet of space available when all the seats are folded down. 

Performance

Two engine options are available with the Sportage. A 2.4-liter engine is found on the LX and EX trims. This engine gets 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The SX Turbo has a 2.0-liter engine which has 240 horsepower with the front-wheel drive and 237 horsepower with all-wheel-drive. The torque is 260 pound-feet. 

The Sportage uses a Dynamax all-wheel-drive which can sense and adjust traction based on changing road and weather conditions. There is also an option to add a locking center differential on all three trims. 

Driver Assistance Systems

The 2022 Sportage has a suite of driver assistance technologies called Kia Drive Wise. Standard on the EX and SX Turbo is blind spot detection, lane change assist, and rear cross traffic alert. Features that come standard on the SX Turbo with the option to upgrade on the EX is autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning system.
