Power and Performance

Under the hood of every model is a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 engine with double overhead camshafts and multi-port fuel injection. An ample 290 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque are delivered to the front drive wheels by the Carnival’s 8-speed automatic transmission. Besides providing strong acceleration, the powertrain helps achieve excellent fuel efficiency at an EPA-rated 26 MPG highway.

With its well-tuned MacPherson strut front suspension and independent multi-link rear suspension, the Carnival is one of the best-handling minivans around. While the vehicle easily maintains its poise when taking sharp corners, it delivers a smooth and comfortable ride quality for its passengers.

Passenger Cabin

The Carnival’s stylish interior is both spacious and endlessly practical. Its dashboard has a streamlined design with easy-to-use controls and a dual-screen display that houses both the digital instrument panel and infotainment system. There are three rows of seating for up to eight people, and the second row offers the option of captain’s chairs. The second-row seating can be folded down to act as a table or removed completely if you need more cargo space.

A load of amenities comes standard with most trims, including heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging station, and an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support. In SX Prestige trim, the Carnival provides extra-luxurious features like plush leather upholstery, LED interior lighting, and 3D-embossed accenting. Available dual sunroofs make the cabin feel even larger and tilt open to let fresh air in more easily.

Multimedia System and Connectivity

The infotainment system’s standard touchscreen is 8 inches, but buyers can opt for the 12.3-inch display. Either option allows for control with simple voice commands and smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Standard Bluetooth wireless technology lets you make hands-free calls so that you can focus on the drive. In addition to a USB data port in front, every row has dual USB charging ports.

EX, SX, and SX Prestige models all come with an in-cabin camera and microphone system, making it easier to communicate with rear passengers.

Driver Assists

Kia’s Drive Wise technology suite features a host of driver assists for greater peace of mind. These include a forward collision avoidance system with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and lane keeping. Unlike many vehicles in its segment, the Carnival will come standard with rear cross-traffic monitoring and a sonar-equipped rear parking distance warning system.

Capable and boasting a truly premium riding experience, the Carnival is sure to win over any family! Head down to Kelly Grimsley Kia today and check out the latest model!
