One Powertrain

The Soul comes with one engine option, a 2-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower. That engine comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The Soul is comfortable and peppy to drive. It gets as many as 35 miles per gallon when driving on the highway, and 27 miles per gallon in the city.

Interior Comfort
