If you’re on the hunt for a reliable and affordable sports sedan, you may want to check out the 2023 Kia Stinger. Overall, the Stinger has been a popular model for Kia in the last few years, thanks in no small part to the enthusiastic handling of the sporty sedan. The smooth handling and responsive engine make the Stinger a joy to drive, but before you buy your car, you’ll have to choose between trim levels.

Trim Levels of the 2023 Kia Stinger

This year, the Stinger is available in two trim levels. The simplification of these trim levels makes it much easier for drivers to choose the trim that best suits their driving style and lifestyle needs. The biggest difference between these two trims is the engine, but there are a few other features that may sway drivers one way or another.

GT-Line

The engine for the GT-Line is a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with a continuously variable valve timing gear. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic with drive mode select and an AWD option. This engine generates 300 horsepower with a torque of 311 lb-ft. The estimated fuel economy is 11 in the city and 32 on the highway for the RWD model, and 21 in the city and 29 on the highway for the AWD model.

For safety features, the GT-Line has several standard features such as forward collision avoidance, forward collision warning, driver attention warning, and rearview monitor with dynamic parking guidance. As for other technology, the GT-Line has a standard 4.2-inch instrument display, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a nine-speaker audio system.

GT2

The engine for the GT2 is a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine, which also supports a continuously variable valve timing gear and an eight-speed automatic transmission with drive mode select. The GT2 also has a limited-slip differential and AWD with dynamic torque vectoring control. This engine generates 368 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy for this model dips a bit, with a combined EPA estimate of 20 MPG for both the RWD and AWD models.

This trim has a 7-inch instrument display with sport gauges, a head-up display (HUD), and a 15-speaker audio system, as well. This trim even has multicolored LED accent lighting for extra excitement.

Whether you choose the base GT-Line trim or the upper GT2 trim, you can expect satisfying driving performance from this year’s Stinger. If you’re ready to take the Stinger out for a test drive, contact Kelly Grimsley Kia to book your test drive appointment today.
