4. Chris Kyle Memorial

It’s important to take a moment to give thanks to those who fought for our freedoms, and the Chris Kyle Memorial was constructed just to the north of Odessa to do just that. Chris Kyle was a Navy SEAL from Odessa who tragically passed away in the Middle East, so the city humbly and reverently erected a statue in his honor. The plaza where it is located in a place to be calm, serene, and reflect on what we are thankful for.


5. Midland Army Air Field Museum Hangar

There are few things as awe-inspiring as soaring high through the clouds, and at the Midland Army Air Field Museum Hangar, you can get up and close to the machines that make flying possible. They have both modern and vintage aircraft on display, and they even offer joy rides in some select aircraft so you can feel the rush and thrill yourself!
